Thanks
I seen this idea in a Hobby Lobby magazine, I painted the chip board letter first, then picked and trace the letters on paper, cut out the paper letter and inked the edges. I used modpodge to adhere the letters on to the chip board and applied md podge over the letters to add a loss. Used ribbon, buttons, flowers and sentiments. I used wide ribbon for a way to hang it to the wall. I think this would be cute to hang in a childs room with there name on it. Thanks for looking. Kelly

Christmas Card and Tuesday Challenge
Ok this is my Chritmas Card for this year and it also is for Momo's Tuesday challenge. This stamp set is from SU, for the black background I stamped large white snowflakes, I took a white piece of cardstock stamped the image using embossing ink pad then sprinkled black embossing powder on it and heat set it. (the snowman is part of this image) mounted it on a piece of red cardstock, stamped the saying and added the little clear bubbles, oh for the scarf I cut small thin strips of red cardstock. I really dont send out very many Christmas cards but this one is pretty easy so a few more people might get cards this year. LOL!!! Thanks for looking! Hugs Kelly

BOO!!!
I saw this idea in a book and I knew I had to try to make one of my own, I usually don't decorate for Halloween I mainly stick to the Fall theme that way I am able to leave things out until Christmas and even then I put more snowmen things out so that I am able to leave those out until after New Years. Anyways on to my BOO project, these are made from chipboard letters that came from Hobby Lobby. I used mog pog to adhere the paper down, and bought some Halloween ribbon that has spider webs on it to tie the letters together. This is a very easy project, I am doing another one right now that I will post in a few days for Thanksgiving. It will be more of a challenge to get the letter together. Stop back by and take a look!! I am fairly new to blogging hope you enjoy looking around!! I am going to try to start making videos if I can figure that out before long, if anyone knows a great place to learn please let me know. I have a camera to video but not sure about the editing stuff. Thanks Kelly

Magnetic Board
Here is a magnetic board that I made. I seen the first one at Angie's blog over at Chic n' Scratch. They were very easy, you just need to be very careful not to cut your hand on the edge. These boards are made with step flashing (I think that is what you call it) I bought it at Lowes in a roll, it came 10 inches wide, and had my husband cut them so they measure 10X10. Out of 1 roll I was able to make 12 boards. I covered them with a pattern paper on the front and plain paper on the back. The flowers are punched out of the scraps of pattern paper I had left over. I made one for each co-worker, one for my mom and sister. If you have any question let me know. Until next time.. BYE!!

Altered canvas
I made this canvas for my sister that had to put her dog to sleep. They had this dog for 16-17 yrs. She was very loved by the whole family. My sister asked me if I could use pictures to make a memorial for her grown children of this dog. They were all pretty young when they got this dog. This is what I came up with!
I took a regular canvas that I bought at Michael's, painted it brown and tan. After the paint dried I used modge podge to adhere pictures on canvas. I used my cricut to cut Molly's name and the date that they had her put to sleep. I also had my sister take a picture of where they had her buried and incorporated that on the canvas too. I had to made 6 of these for her.
If you have any comments or questions please leave them. Thanks for stopping by.

My 1st Altered Canvas
Well this is my first altered canvas- I think it turn out pretty cute. The one thing that you have to do is to be sure that you add alot of modpog, when I first added the paper I didn't add enough and I had alot of bubbles. When there enough glue it all lays smooth.
I made this for my good friend at church: Ruth its her granddaughter, I hope she likes it. I will be making more for Christmas gift. Have a great day!!! Kelly

Altered Frapp. bottles
Today I will be posting this cute little gift that I made for my co-workers in 2009. I had to make 8 of them, so this meant I had to drink alot of frappachino. LOL.
The first thing was to drink the contents of the bottles, then wash and dry the them really good. I made a pattern of the box to cover it. I used solid heavy cardstock for the box and assorted patterned pattern from both from Hobby Lobby for the rest of the box and the bottles. I used a stamp set and scollop punch from Stampin up. I filled the bottles with Powdered hot choc. mix, marshmellow, kisses and choc. covered peppermint sticks. The message on the side was the Snowman soup recipe. Contact me if you would like the recipe. Have a great day.

Bridal Shower Invitation
A friend in my church told me she was going to be hosting a bridal shower for a friend of hers and ask me if I could make her invitations. She needed the wedding colors which were eggplant and cream. I was a little nervous to do these, I wanted them to be perfect. Plus I needed to make 40. Well stampin up had the perfect colors, eggplant and cream. The ribbon I bought at Micheals and the vellum is from Hobby Lobby. Well as you can see they turn out rather cute and all liked them. Hope you had a great 4th.

Fun Coasters
Here are some coaster that I made using regular ceramic tiles. I used Black Stazs-on ink for the back ground and orange Stazs-on for the letters. You do NOT have to put these in the oven as long as you use Stazs-on ink, I have put them to the test with a bowl of water and the ink does NOT run. I since have made all different ones. These are a great and inexpensive gift (set of 4) Dont forget to put some little cushions on the bottom so they dont scratch the furniture. Also dont buy the tiles that are slick. Good Luck and have fun.

Name Frames
Today I decided to post a name frame that I made at a class last week. I couldn't post earlier because the lady that I was giving it to could have seen it before I gave it to her. Well she recieved it yesterday and LOVED it. I think it turned out really cute. The frame is from Walmart $3 and the stamp set I used is from Stampin up. The paper is random scrapbook paper that I already had. I will have to get this stamp set at our next monthy get together. These were really pretty easy, you do have to use a stampin-ma-gig to get the letters straight and close enough to each other. I am really thinking about making these for all my coworkers for Christmas gifts this year. I am making a scrapbook for this lady too, she is retiring and Thursday will be her last day so I have pic to get printed and pages to get done so til my next post.

Grunge Board Bracelets
The other day I was looking around on Splitcoast Stampers and found this great bracelet made from Grunge Board (Tim Holtz product)I new right away I needed to make at least 1, then my daughter saw them, so needless to say we had to made several to match everything and one just for everyday. They are super EASY, but my only suggestion would be getting the grunge board that is already embossed, embossing this stuff is not easy. Good luck and Happy Grunging!!!

Father's Day is approaching. Yellow roses grow in heaven, Lord pick a bunch for me. Place them in my father's arms and tell him they're from me. Tell him that I love and miss him. When he turns to smile place a kiss upon his cheek & hold him for awhile, tell him remembering him is easy, I do it every day. There's an a...che in my heart that will never go away. I love you and miss you alot daddy. Kelly

Well Well....
Lets see I am not very good at this blogging thing :( Everyone tells me how easy it is but I guess Iam to busy to keep up with it. I guess I will use that as my excuse.
We went as a family to Colorado for Spring Break- It was a blast, I didnt think I would like skiing, I do not like to be cold, wet or to fall down and I expected that all 3 would happen. And of course they did-but it wasnt as cold as I thought and when I did fell it didnt hurt to bad, the clothes I wore kept me from getting wet.
We skiied 2 days at Breckenridge, 1 day at Ski Cooper, 1 day at Keystone. The first day was at Ski Cooper it was alot cheaper then the other two but the alttuide really got all of us, Cheyanne was effected the worse (really sick) she even passed out. We gone to visit with my nephew Jonny Henkins every day, even skiied with him all but two days,he had to work.
All in all it was a great vacation with the family- Alan, Kelly,Cheyanne,Colton--it was amazing we all got to go.
Until I decide to post again-Later Kelly
