Halloween treat bags (kinda lol)

Back

Front

The stamp in club that I am in every month always has a swap every month it is different. We use to just do cards of your choice but lately we have stared a new way of doing them. I will try to explain: each month a different person in our group host the get together, the month prior that person know who they are and they decide what we will be swapping. Example: when I was host I chose a card using fall colors, the girl before me choose a card using pink, black, white. It really alot of fun, we bring enough for everyone to take a different card or project home. With that said this Oct I need to bring some type Halloween treat bag, I ended up making 2 different ones. Today I will show you my favorite and it was very easy. I seen it in www.chicknscratch.com you should check out her site if have not already stumbled across her.  These are made with an 8x8 piece of cardstock.
The rosettes are a 1x 12 piece of DP scored at every 1/2 inch. One side of the treat holder holds a card and the other side hold a piece of candy. These were very fun to make. Thanks for stopping byb. Kelly

Sympathy Card

I am in a stamping group that meets once a month, we have a wonderful demonstrator, her name is Louann. She comes up with some wonderful project every month and we have a great time and I look forward to it. But, besides the projects she comes up with, we bring swaps every month. Whoevers turn it is to host chooses the type, color, sentiment ect that we use on it. When I made this card we were to use brown, blue and it had to be a sympanthy card so this is mine.
I really like how it turned out, I use some SU products and other CS. the stamp set is SU and the embellishment is also SU. The demonstrator that we have does not require that you only submit SU but I try as much as I can.
I will be trying to update my blog a little more now that I had someone show me how to use this new blog site, Thanks to www.kellySCreavtiveDreams.blogspot.com  she happens to be my sister in law and was in Oklahoma to visit this past weekend, we had a great visit. Check out her blog she does a great job.

Over all it was beautiful and she was a gorgeous. Now I will be able to hopefully get back to posting on a regular basis's. Pages of my toilet roll album

This is one of the tags!
If you have any questions please let me know! Hug Kelly

Toilet Paper Mini Album

Today I am posting a Toilet Paper mini album that I made, I am also linking it over ti Outstanding mini albums to see if she will use it in her next book, Wish me luck!! The patterned paper that I used is SU and I believe it is retired, I smashed 2 toilet paper rolls and placed a heavy book to make sure they stay flat. The pages inside the book were cut at 4 1/4 x 2 1/2, you can put as many pages or as few as you wish, I made 2 tags to go into each cover(which are the toilet paper rolls) they are cut at 2 1/2 x 3 3/4 I used the SU Round Tag punch to make the tabs, I used the patterned paper to cover light cardboard and then cut out flowers using SU Blossom Party Die, I used the computer to print the Beatttitudes and used them to decorate this book. I hope you like my book and will try your own. Thanks for looking,

For my Friends

I have started a new bible study with a few friends of mine, Ruth J. (shes leading) Shelly H, Brenda K. and her niece. It is called Beloved Disciple by Beth Moore. Well I wanted to give a small gift to each and I had seen these cute little note pads at Madel's while picking up my work book.

I had to cut one of the note pads down a little, and had to stamp a saying on the pages of another but they were fun to make and the girls loved them.

Ingredients: 1- 12x12 double sided pattern paper(you could use solid)

I scored it at 6in for the center fold then flipped the paper and scored at 4in, rounded all corners, the bands are cut at 4in, 3in and 2in. I used stamp set Blessings from Heaven from SU a misc stamp from HL. I matched the colors and used SU inks. If you have question please ask. Thanks for stopping by. Hugs Kelly

Tonight, Stamp Club Night!! Whoo Hoo!!

It seems like FOREVER since our last meeting. We got a little mixed up on dates and this is why it seems like forever. Well anyways, each meeting we have a card swap and I wanted to share the card that I will be swapping tonight.

Well here it is!!

I had seen this new punch from stamp in up and some really cool ideas, I did get this layout from another site but can't remember where. Sorry!
Ingredients for this card:
white card stock card base is 5 x 6 3/4
metallic yellow layer cut at 4 3/4 x 6 1/4
white card stock layer cut at 4 1/2 x 6 and
embossed w/SUeyelet embossing plate
I used the new Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer punch to punch 4different
colored bouquets, purple,yellow,green and blue.
added eggplant colored ribbon.
The sentiment is from mega mixed messages.
This was a really fun card to make and I think I will be making a few different cards using this punch.
Have a great day! Hugs Kelly

So Sorry!!!

I am so sorry that I have been away for a while, I have picked up a new hobby and I am really enjoying it!

I have a great friend her name is Shelly and she had taken up cycling over a year ago and had asked me to join her and Pippi(Giant road bike) I had always told her that I was to busy but decided to take her up on the challenge when another friend (Brenda and (Lucy AKA-Giant road bike) of ours had started joining her. They were always posting all the fun rides they had and all the THINGS the see, I just couldn't resist. Well lets just say they both had the right kind of bikes (Giants) now these are road bike which are very very light and easy to ride but my bike was a heavy mountian bike, I had always liked that bike until the first 20 mile ride with them in which I had to walk up most of the big hills!! They were alway waiting for me!!!! I really loved riding with them until that die I thought i would die, we started out in Kildare and rode to Kaw Dam and back it was 30 miles and really hot, I told them when we got back I would not be going again until I got a GOOD bike and retire Nana Peel (AKA- mountian bike)to local flat riding only!

Well that day came sooner then I thought my husband bought me Lexa (AKA-Trek) it was a joyous day in the Bay home. I brought her home and soon tried her out, 20 miles the first time and tad over 26 the second in which I could have rode longer but Shelly had rode a few to many the day before with Brenda and her knee was bothering her, but a great ride and cant wait to go again. In the pic is Lexa and I on an adventure with Shelly!

I will get back to stamping and post a few that I have done recently! Again sorry I haven't posted in a while I willl try to do better!! Kelly

1 Card= 8 Challenges

OK , I really had to think about this card for a while before starting on it, you might be asking why? Well let me tell you. I like to use challenges together to make my own challenge. Confused yet?? Let me tell you what I mean. I spent about 2hrs looking at different challenges that were posted this week and wanted to make 1 card using as many different challenges all incorporated into this one card.(I hope this makes sense) More chances to win and more challenging for me. I made 1 card that worked into 8 challenges!! I wanted to use all 11 but couldn't get it to work :(

These are the challenges;
1.Jitterbuggin Challenge- Card using only brown, white or cream and 1 other color plus a bow. (I chose green)
2. Crazy for Challenges-Card using the work Thank-you
3. Crafty Creations-Card w/bird include polka dots and green (now you know why I chose green)
4.Tuesday Morning Sketches- Card with Metal (I used Brads)
5.My Time to Craft-Spots and Dots.
6.Sketches in Thyme-Use their sketch.
7. Bitten by the bug 2. Use a bird or armadillo.
8. Getting Cricky- Create something with a bird on it.

My card is 4 X 5 1/2 Brown (Sorry the pic makes it look purple, I dont know why that happens) card stock, Vanilla layer is 3 3/4 X 5 1/4 Old Olive is 3 1/2 X 5 embossed with cuttlebug, folder is dots (I think) Other brown layer is cut at 4 X 2, Bird is cut at 3 inch (Create a Critter), misc cream ribbon.

I really enjoyed mixing these challenges, thanks for stopping by to take a look. I will try to post again this week by making 1 card and incorporating 3 different challenges that I found. Kelly

Tri-Fold Shutter Card

I made this really cute Tri-Fold shutter card after seeing it on Split coast stampers. I have been wanting to make one and some challenges have give me the opportunity. I simply love the way it turned out and will be making more of them in the future. It is much easier then it looks. I really like making odd shaped cards and love the challenge in making them. There is a great tutortial over at split coast if you want the complete details or just follow the basics instruction below for the basic card. I am submitting to 2 different challenges, 1 Paper Variety and 1 at My Pink Stamper.

Supplies:

One 5 1/2" x 12" piece of Cardstock,Scor-Pal, Paper Cutter,Patterned Paper, Bone Folder,Craft Knife, Ruler, Adhesive .

Step-by-Step:
Step 1

Place 5 ½” x 12" piece of cardstock horizontally in your Scor-Pal. Score at 2”, 4”, 8” and 10”.

Step 2

Turn cardstock a ¼ turn. Along the long edge, measure in 1 ½” . Make a slit with a craft knife between the score marks at 2” and 10”. Repeat on the other long side.

Now using your favorite pattern paper or special themed paper, measure each sectionand adhere to card.

Finally-Embellish & decorate.

4 Challenges- 1 Project

I made these for some co-workers but works for the Tuesday challenge, I used frapp.bottles. I made sure I washed them and made sure they are dried before filling. I filled 1-hot cocoa mix, 1-marshmellows, 1- kisses choc., 1-choc covered peppermint sticks for stirring. Used some misc. heavy card stock to cover the box and some misc. patterned paper all from hobby lobby. I submitted these in 4 challenges, 1 for Momo's Tuesday Challenge, 1 for cooking with Cricut, 1 for Paper Varity the other is for Fantabulous Cricut challenge. I can't believe that I was able to enter 4 challenges with just one project. I wonder if they all knew they were picking a snow theme, it made it easy for us. LOL. Thanks for stopping by to look. My fellow employees Christmas gifts

Well, Happy New Year everyone and I hope it was safe one.
I have wanted to post what I had made for the girls that I work with for Christmas for quite some time but was afraid that one of them would get on my blog and see so I had to wait. Well now I can tell you, they are frames with there last names in them. I had bought a paper stack from DCWV it is called.....The At Home Stack. I used cream colored paper and basic brown ink and an alphabet stamp set from SU. The frames are from Dollar General only $3.00. I used SU flower punches to cut matching paper flowers from the paper stack, I really like how the paper flowers turn out. I really feel the frames turned out super cute. The girls at work thought I worked for ever on them, what dont know wont hurt huh!!! I am going to try to make more time this next year to do more crafting and spend more time in my room. I think I will even try my hand at making some videos. Thanks for your time and looking at my blog. Hugs Kelly

Thanks

I seen this idea in a Hobby Lobby magazine, I painted the chip board letter first, then picked and trace the letters on paper, cut out the paper letter and inked the edges. I used modpodge to adhere the letters on to the chip board and applied md podge over the letters to add a loss. Used ribbon, buttons, flowers and sentiments. I used wide ribbon for a way to hang it to the wall. I think this would be cute to hang in a childs room with there name on it. Thanks for looking. Kelly

Christmas Card and Tuesday Challenge

Ok this is my Chritmas Card for this year and it also is for Momo's Tuesday challenge. This stamp set is from SU, for the black background I stamped large white snowflakes, I took a white piece of cardstock stamped the image using embossing ink pad then sprinkled black embossing powder on it and heat set it. (the snowman is part of this image) mounted it on a piece of red cardstock, stamped the saying and added the little clear bubbles, oh for the scarf I cut small thin strips of red cardstock. I really dont send out very many Christmas cards but this one is pretty easy so a few more people might get cards this year. LOL!!! Thanks for looking! Hugs Kelly

BOO!!!

I saw this idea in a book and I knew I had to try to make one of my own, I usually don't decorate for Halloween I mainly stick to the Fall theme that way I am able to leave things out until Christmas and even then I put more snowmen things out so that I am able to leave those out until after New Years. Anyways on to my BOO project, these are made from chipboard letters that came from Hobby Lobby. I used mog pog to adhere the paper down, and bought some Halloween ribbon that has spider webs on it to tie the letters together. This is a very easy project, I am doing another one right now that I will post in a few days for Thanksgiving. It will be more of a challenge to get the letter together. Stop back by and take a look!! I am fairly new to blogging hope you enjoy looking around!! I am going to try to start making videos if I can figure that out before long, if anyone knows a great place to learn please let me know. I have a camera to video but not sure about the editing stuff. Thanks Kelly
